Sandra COURLIVANT est passionnée depuis son plus jeune âge par les chevaux, par leur élégance et leur puissance.
Dès lors, l'Art Pariétal des grottes ornées ne pouvait pas la laisser indifférente.
Sandra présente à Montignac une collection ''Dialogue avec le temps'' directement inspirée de l'art pariétal et des artistes fascinants qui traçaient avec une dextérité incroyable aurochs, bisons, cerfs....... il y a 20 000 ans.
Elle propose une libre interprétation en volume des figures animales préhistoriques qui traversent le temps avec une puissance toujours intacte.
« Les grottes ornées m'apportent beaucoup d'émotions. Elles suscitent en moi l'envie de me frotter à l'art primaire, de revenir aux choses simples, de dialoguer avec nos ancêtres »
Le peuple cavalier de la Mongolie était jusqu'à présent son thème de prédilection.
« J'aime l'interaction entre les hommes et les animaux, chacun y trouve sa propre interprétation » Sa collection ''Steppes'' est exposée en France et à l'étranger dans différentes galeries.
A La Galerie Montignac Lascaux, les sculptures présentées à La galerie Montignac Lascaux sont réalisées en argile (grès blanc) cuites à 1100°c et colorées après cuisson à l'aide de pigments naturels (pigments de terre, oxydes et pigments minéraux naturels en poudre).
Sandra Courlivant est née en 1973, vit et travaille dans le Maine et Loire.
Après une formation d'Arts Appliqués, elle débute sa carrière en réalisant des décors et fresques murales pendant 10 ans. Puis elle décide de se spécialiser dans la sculpture équine. Elle se formera de manière autodidacte grâce à de nombreux échanges avec des céramistes. Elle s'attache à la Mongolie après un séjour en 2012 et participe activement à des échanges artistiques Franco-Mongols.

Sandra COURLIVANT has been passionate about horses from an early age, for their elegance, their power.
Thus, the parietal art from painted caves could not leave her indifferent.
Sandra displays in Montignac a collection « Dialogue with time » openly inspired by cave paintings and the facinating artists that drew with an upmost dexterity aurochs, buffaloes, deer....... 20 000 years ago.
She offers us a loose in volume interpretation of prehistoric animals that travel through time with a power still intact.
« Cave paintings bring up a lot of emotions in me. They give me the desire to rub shoulders with primary art , return to simple things, dialogue with our ancestors »
Her theme of choice thus far has been the eurasian nomads of Mongolia.
« I enjoy the interaction between men and animals, each one finds its own interpretation ». Her collection « Steppes » is exhibited in France and in different galleries abroad.
The sculptures displayed in the La Galerie Montignac Lascaux have been made with clay (white sandstone) fired at 1100°c and coloured after with natural pigments (earth pigments, iron oxides and natural mineral pigments in powder form).
Sandra Courlivant was born in 1973, lives and works in the Maine-et-Loire department.
After completing a course in applied arts, she starts her career with mural decoration and frescos for ten years. She then decides to specialise in equine sculpture. Thanks to many exchanges with ceramicists she is able to become a self taught artist. She grows attached to Mongolia after staying there in 2012, and actively partakes in Franco-Mongolian artistic exchanges.
